Available data was collected on policies issued between January 1, 1984 and December 31, 2007. Claims incurred on policies during this same timeframe were followed from claim inception through the earlier of claim termination or June 30, 2008.

Description: This report is the fifth in a series of studies conducted jointly by LIMRA and the SOA Long-Term Care Experience Committee. The report presents results for industry long-term care insurance (LTCI) persistency. Persistency is examined based on eighteen participating companies reporting lapse, mortality, and total termination activity for calendar years 2000 through 2016.
